I sure am glad I managed to not hear them for those 50 years.    I haven't had my morning coffee this morning, so I will try to be polite. I'm fine with someone having an opinion, but in those cases where you want to express it, perhaps you should learn to be a bit more polite about it, especially when it should be obvious you might be insulting others (You might have figured it from my previous comment). Anyone here who thought Limbaugh had anything to do with this should crawl out from their cultural rock more often. I was introduced to the band Rush long before some guy by the last name of Limbaugh hit the scene. I'm glad you avoided them for the extent of their career, because you simply wouldn't have understood. In large part, Neil Peart, their drummer and lyricist wrote the soundtrack of my adolescence and much of my adulthood. Geddy Lee's vocals aren't everyone's cup of tea by a long shot, but the musical talent of the band is difficult to deny. I could go on, but I will end by saying I was at work with customers waiting when I found out Peart had died of a rare brain cancer. It was like a punch in the gut, because of the importance of their music in my life.  So, no, I need not show my hand out of cluelessness. If I did raise it, it would probably be an inappropriate gesture, and I try to avoid that. I need coffee. 1

John Kloehr
1 hour ago, Eyesa Horg said: But ya can't discriminate against his bravery & courage. Basic lesson I learned when hiring people. Â Don't hire people who bring drama. Drama leads directly to letting people go. Â Basic recommendation for those looking for work is to not look like or talk like you have or will bring drama to the workplace. Â If I was staffing a pincushion accessory shop or maybe a druggie counterculture poster and black light retail shop, then maybe... But I have no experience in such enterprises, My background at most accepts covered tattoos. Admittedly covered military service tattoos get preference over covered pot plant leaves. Â Harsh, yes, but presenting as a pincushion, or with inked roman numerals on the neck, or clothing I would consider pajamas, or hair colors suitable for easter eggs, and most definitely attitude demanding "fair treatment" would not likely result in job offers. Â That last item. The "fair treatment" demand. If presented with this before even laying out the actual job responsibilities, before reviewing relevant work experience for a match to the job requirements... No, I am not going to hire a before-the-fact self-identified victim of my discrimination. Â Don't blame me, blame the similar examples who came before. The guy needing roofs torn off might hire you, maybe also a second day if you actually do a good job. You will likely find him at 6 AM in any Home Depot parking lot.
