For those who dip powder - funnel..

I use powder measure a lot. But I don't feel handicapped just using a dipper.  Over the years I've collected and used a number of regular plastic funnels but I thought they were not as handy as they could be.  So I picked up a little set of black powder loading tools at a gunshow just to get this funnel.

It's a small thing but it's amazing how much better it works than a conventional funnel.

This is a reproduction.  They are available at places that stock a lot of black powder guns and accessories.  Track of the Wolf, Dixie Gun Works, etc.  Original and reproduced ones on eBay.

I'd think I'd want to shorten the snouts. These look to have more of a bell shape.  The trumpet shape the funnel my funnel seems to let the powder flow well.   And I find the wodden handle comfortable.

I have a set very similar and they would be perfect except that the design always lets a small amount of powder get trapped due to the lip created by joining the funnel to the tube.

I find the Lyman Universal Powder Pal to be the most functional of all the powder pans and powder chargers:

* Put it on the scale for powder weights or use with dippers

* The funnel sits on the outside of the case mouth for nearly all caliber cases

* Can also just pour the powder into the case from the pan

I heard that GW Wade decided to try dipping powder once. Said that it really had a bad taste. Decided to go back to Copenhagen instead....just what a little bird told me...

Yep, love those Ted Cash powder funnels.  Been using them since my muzzleloading days.

Track of the Wolf has 'em.

Sticking with my Lee plastic funnel; tight fit on case mouth, big opening for shaking hands.  But I admit the old model with a handle looks cool!

Used that for years. But the old handle model work better and faster.
