Four-Eyed Buck,SASS #14795 Posted December 22, 2018 Posted December 22, 2018 Got a Christmas card from one of my distant cousins today. I was informed that the one cousin that I had the most contact with over the last decade had passed in August. Gordon Schweitzer, retired U.S. Army chaplain. He and I had been working over the years to piece together family history. Unfortunately, his wife did not inform me of his passing. I knew his health had been slipping, he didn't advise me of the reason for their last move. He is now interred at Arlington National cemetery. I will miss our conversations, and salute him for his service to our Country and just wish I would've had the chance to sound Taps for him

Four-Eyed Buck,SASS #14795 Posted December 24, 2018 Author Posted December 24, 2018 Talked to card sender at length last night. Congestive heart failure was the cause. That's what precipitated their last move as well. Card sender wasn't aware that none of us was notified either
