McCandless Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 I don't usually shoot when it's been snowing or real cold. I tell my self, "self, it's just too danged cold". Maybe this will get me motivated this winter. Found pictures of some hardy souls on the Sweden Western Shooters site:

Allie Mo, SASS No. 25217 Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 Duc/Doc, I shot in the snow once. It was in, of all places, Chabot Park CA in the summer. We had a Mulligan stage. I shot okay and hadn't used my Mulligan. Then, I totally messed up the last stage, a one-gun dump. I decided, rather than use my Mulligan, to go to the car, turn on the heat, remove my boots, and put my footsies over the heater vent. So, I have great respect for our Swedish shooters or anyone who shoots in a place that cold.. Regards, Allie Mo PS That time, being summer in CA, very few had comfortable clothes with them.
Samuel B Carpenter Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 Yepp we shoot all winter, and in the spring we pick and share brass Samuel B

Driftwood Johnson, SASS #38283 Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 We used to shoot in the snow around these parts. Haven't done so for quite a while though. Notice the beard is not completely white yet. Also notice the thermos of hot coffee in the gun cart.
Hoss Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 It was 105 when I'm left the range last Saturday. I would have welcomed done snow!!!!!

Allie Mo, SASS No. 25217 Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Here is proof I was at Lucerne when it snowed. Some folks, not naming names, even wore garbage bags. See him in the back left of the photo.
Youngblood #60304 Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 That is three of my favorite people above this. No snow for me, not picking brass either. I'll watch on the www......

Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 Those Swedes are a hearty bunch. They go to the range in about October and come back sometime in June. Just spend the whole winter out there. The families get together and air drop supplies to them from time to time, but mostly they eat snow and ice an an occassional rabbit or elk or bear that gets snowed in.
