Because the ground is harder then it was 70 years ago causing me not to bounce as good as I use to.

You DO know I'm to your North, Right?

You do know Santa Claus is to your north, don't you?

Well, here's the thing: Some Canadians report directly to Santa and some of you Pards are in trouble!

Now I'm not mentioning any names, but a few of you should not be surprised about the lump of coal in your stocking Christmas morning!

You know who you are!!

Probably a founding member of that club that became a district or section of New York City.

“Yonker” is a pseudonym for a young male child.  It’s a Dutch derivative.

A long, long time ago, when a was a little shaver, my older cousin Carol who I adored was dating at the time. My parents played cards (poker) with 3 other couples every other Sat night, so I got dropped off at my Grandmas for the night. Carol would get prepped for her dates at out Grandmas house cause she owned of of those hot/steam hair curler/roller devices. While we waited for Grandma to work on her hairdo, Carol would play the latest 45 rpms. She would explain the music to me, the beats and rhythms, chords, and lyrics. She exposed me to Chuck, Elvis, Frankie Valli, Castelles, Little Richard, Drifters, Richie Valens, Bo Diddly, et al. It was a great learning experience. I am very eclectic in my musical taste as a result.  I owe it all to Carol.

And yes,  that is her real name.......not the girl from the CB song ......but, I was gonna learn to dance if it took me all night & day.

I remember going to the "record shop", music store, whatever it was called, to buy records.  They were still 78 rpm, and you could go into a booth and play the record before buying it.  I remember the spider adapter when 45 rpm was introduced, and people coming to parties with a bunch of 45s, the way you could bring your own music in those days.  Strangely enough I still have a batch of the 78s, mine and my folks, but not a single 45 rpm.
