Just came in. Now I can see if the train is runnin on time on Saturday.

Yes it is. Looks like a moon but it’s actually the ancient classic theater comedy/tragedy symbol. The other side is frowning.

I took it off a dead opera singer who didn’t know when to shut up.

Be careful where you check the time;  situational awareness don't ya know!

 

I agree with the others, an exquisite timepiece.  Keep on time in good health for many years my friend!

I collect pocket watches (and a few wrist watches. too) but nothing a grand s that one.  I'll give you a hunnert bucks or it.

 

I've heard that a man who owns a watch knows what time it is.  If he owns more than one he's never quite sure.

More commonly called a "vesta", novelty match boxes for your vest pocket came in an abundance of designs and materials; I'm particularly fond of the Art Nouveau styles in sterling.

nifty - i like that , congrats 

 

when my brother in law passed a couple years ago he had a couple of pocket watches , i was given one , its what i carry in my cowboy kit for the sentimental reasons
