  1. Few points as a relative young shooter at 36 and a new shooter in his second year. Clubs should probably take online apps and payments across the board. The question of what a service charges is easy, charge for convenience. If a service charges $2 per swipe raise online entry by $2 Mail $50, online/CC $52. This is a very very standard practice for companies. Websites should be functional but they do little for attracting new shooters as they would have to find the website first and with Google lead services and the money spent to get priority first page listing....good luck on getting a rural club in the Midwest to pop up with an easy general search. What I do know 100% is the "old way" needs to last or you will alienate the very core of this sport. I've helped a few guys on here and a few guys at my club with general phone stuff and without at all meaning to sound condescending or anything, I feel sorry for the 60+ generation dealing with the technology that is today's world. It's fast, it's unesasarally complicated and getting more so everyday....not to mention the vulnerability it gives them to scamers and hackers. Also, it ain't that big a deal guys. I do not have checks, and I have to stop just to get cash for my monthly match and thats the only time i have cash....big deal. Also, to adress one post on phones at matches....all my significant people know, I check my phone before the start, phone goes in the gun cart and I do NOT look at it until the last person shoots the last stage...nothing to do with Era roleplay, though that's valid...but it's a distraction and I'm there to have a good time with the guys and gals that actually showed up to participate....be present.
  2. AKs, when we'll built and with a bit of modernization are very, very cable of making things stop breathing out to 300. I am an AK guy, no question....buuuuuut.... If you wanna shoot 7.62X39. Buy and IWI Galil Ace gen 2. Get the magwell delete and enjoy. I don't even shoot my AKs anymore. Strait from the box the Galil is a better built, milled, optic ready monster packing a fat .30caliber The Israeli's did this right.
  3. Dry for sure. The dust once it accumulates in a grease will become an abrasive paste.
  4. Fantastic shoot today, good to see everybody who came out, look forward to the season.
  5. I've been thinking of getting a naked bike now that I'm a bit wiser... But I've gotten to love tearing around on my big bagger. I ride it like a much smaller bike and I get the thrills at much slower speeds.
  6. It is actually the same as the gun comparison. If you are ALREADY crazy then a crotch rocket is not for you. For my , I think, third bike I had a CBR-1000RR Repsol Edition I sold it after taking a 270* turn at 80 and pulling the front wheel of the ground halfway through to accelerate because I apparently wasent going fast enough. I had full front fork compression entering that turn at 80 slowing from 150mph on the freeway. I pegged the needle more than a few times. I casually rode at 100+ EVERY TIME I took it out. Lane splitting, wheelies, endos...freaking maniac. And same as guns....the bike didn't make me do it...but I had to put myself on the prohibited person's list. I've owned cruisers ever since.
  7. This photo...I just can't. It might show to much about myself But I'm curius if anyone knows what makes thus more hilarious than the situation... *hint....that dude is not a real guard and she is definitely not a tourist
  8. YOU CALL THIS WEAPON CLEAN PRIVATE!!!! SIR, YES, SIR Really, Private?
