Buckshot,

That is such a cool photo!

The old buildings, no sign of activity, including the overgrown rails, and the 'roo looking for the train, and Mama 'Roo waiting for Junior to come along.

Did you take this photo? If so, where is this located?

I really like the photo! It's worthy of a frame on the wall!

Thanks, again, for posting so many cool photos!

G'day Brazos its one I came across the other day.....immediately just loved it.

I'd like a hi res of it because I'd get it printed to hang myself on one of our walls.

Kind of sad.  We have similar, though mostly just the right of way and the odd buildings remain in what were thriving small towns until the railroad pulled out.  Some claim the success of the Red Ball Express of WWII fame was the death knell of the railroads.

For a second or two I thought I thought "Aussies" then I noticed the upside down guy wasn't facing the oncoming horse.

The initial thought of why he's facing away is if a front ofHOOF catches you, it would hit you in the butt instead of the gazoolies.

But thinking about it a little bit, I believe it's actually so he doesn't see the horse jump. If he doesn't see it, he doesn't flinch.
