I was at the Grand Canyon a few years ago and meandered through the gift shop on the South Rim which contains Native American items supposedly made by Native Americans. If you looked closely enough, much of it was made in China.

When I joined the NRA, I received a nice NRA ball cap.   :FlagAm:

But, I've never worn it, and I won't.

The tag inside said, "Made in China."

The next time I got a recruiter calling for money, I told him about my sincere disappointment with the hat.

I haven't gotten any more calls from them.

Buckshot,

That is such a cool photo!

The old buildings, no sign of activity, including the overgrown rails, and the 'roo looking for the train, and Mama 'Roo waiting for Junior to come along.

Did you take this photo? If so, where is this located?

I really like the photo! It's worthy of a frame on the wall!

Thanks, again, for posting so many cool photos!

G'day Brazos its one I came across the other day.....immediately just loved it.

I'd like a hi res of it because I'd get it printed to hang myself on one of our walls.

Kind of sad.  We have similar, though mostly just the right of way and the odd buildings remain in what were thriving small towns until the railroad pulled out.  Some claim the success of the Red Ball Express of WWII fame was the death knell of the railroads.
