My boy made the news!

I had mentioned my son and his new company in another thread. One of the local news channels interviewed him last night. The first airing was at 11:05pm last night. By 11:15 his Facebook page and phone were lighting up. Today he was turning people away. Incredible!

Here is the link.

MIchigan,

That's cool.  Sounds like he's going to be doing pretty well.

What's snow?

The only plows around here, are hooked on to the back of a tractor.

Never-the-less, congratulations to him, and his business. Good for him.

Concentrate on the customers, the money will be there.

Concentrate on the money, the customers won't be there.

A simple rule that most companies can't seem to grasp.

Lol. Guess who gets to report for duty to run a plow at midnight? My wife is fixing box lunches and the coffee is ready to go. Least we can do. Could be ten minutes of fun!

His Google and Facebook reviews brought tears to our eyes. All about the customers.

Good for him. He has learned a valuable lesson, and one that will build his customer loyalty, and grow his business, over time.

The only problem I see is: there are not more businessmen, like your son, out there. We all need more like him.

I hate snow.

I like it....on calendars, Christmas cards, in magazines., but NOT on my streets, yards, parking lots, and especially  my roof.

I left Utah in 1970 to get out of snow.

Snow is white gold to all the plow truck drivers . Allot of the people who own lawn care business get through the winter on snow removal

Outstanding free $1,000,000 TV ad.

He seemed so relaxed and articulate.

Great TV presence.
I bet they interview him every winter, if he keeps in touch with them.

Looks like a hardworking fine young man that loves his family.

Great job Dad.

:huh:Why are you gonna scrape it up into big piles ?

It's just gonna melt in a couple of days anyhow.  All you're doing is making mud holes in folks' yards.:D

Just buy a gallon of milk and a loaf of bread and wait for it to melt like the sensible folks down South do.;)

Not many sensible folks here. Let's go for a drive and shopping during a snow emergency!  Duh!

So Forty, how did ya like the snow we got a few got a few days ago?

We got over a foot of it at my place in Pronghorn Ranch......it's still here but mostly melted as of today.

I left Illinois in 2000 to get away from snow, lot of good it did me.

You might have to move to Hawaii to get away from any snow here in the United States. :D

Shop?  Where?

Every place is closed.

Better to be closed for a day than have half your employees end up in a ditch or the hospital.

The Southern Method of dealing with snow is the only logical course.

Buy a gallon of milk, a loaf of bread and sit at home until it melts.

Around here, it will be back in the mid 60's and threatening to rain in a few days anyhow, so there's no need to get all worked up about snow being on the ground.

Rain, ice then snow for Thursday here on top of 9" we got yesterday.

Thursday?

We're forecasted for a high of 60 under partly cloudy skies.  It's supposed to be 65 Friday and to set in raining again.

I think we got about 8" here.  Still a bunch of icy patches but nothing serious.  I have food and drink, my furnace an DVD work, and my dog loves to sit by me, so what else could I ask for?

Slim, I have an question ice question.   Does ice caught ice fishing taste any different than the ice that's made in a home freezer?

Slim, you raised a fine son.  Best of luck to him and his business.

Don't know.  Lake Eufaula (I can be on the water there in just over an hour) hasn't froze thick enough to walk on in the last 10,000 or so years.;)
