Subdeacon Joe Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 "Plastic-framed piece of junk. " Doesn't pull his punches.
July Smith Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 I remember when that first came out. I could not believe it was a real product.
Capt. R. Hugh Kidnme Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 Pretty sure if it’s destroyed USFA as a company, he’s being kind calling it “a plastic framed piece of junk”. He may be punching below it’s POS weight.
Colorado Coffinmaker Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 Actually .... were one to follow the actual sequence of events at USFA, USFA was dead before the ZIP ever saw the light of day. The Zip was just a last grasp for a straw. Ownership at USFA didn't have much for business acumen.
The Original Lumpy Gritz Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 Designed by committee- And no one agreed. OLG
McCandless Posted September 17, 2018 Author Posted September 17, 2018 There's one in a display case at my favorite LGS. It's been there for several years... and it's too late in life to start a collection of "the worst guns ever"

Chili Ron Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 Howdy, Worst gun ever would be a small collection, NO? And that sure looks like a winner or looser however the title is bestowed. How much does that store want for that ahhhhhh thing? Best CR
Rooster Ron Wayne Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 They were going under before they that peace of junk ! I thank that was a pore attempt to save the company. Rooster
Subdeacon Joe Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 Squirrelyer than a Ruger Mk. 1 to disassemble.
Sixgun Sheridan Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 Well it certainly holds the title for World's Least Ergonomic Handgun. Who designed the shape of that thing... a space alien with two long suction-cup fingers?

The unique thing about a committee, is that everyone on the committee wants to have input, but nobody wants to take responsibility.
Lastcall Ranger Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 Another product or solution designed for an application or market that did not exist. Working in sales for close to forty years, I've seen several of these cost companies money or futures, and most likely will see more in the future.
Sixgun Sheridan Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 Funny, but my Jennings J-22 (paid $55 for it in 1991) is a lot more ergonomic than this AND it runs a heck of a lot better! If they were trying to go for a cheap handgun there were already better ideas out there.
Smuteye John SASS#24774 Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 You mean that I am the only one still waiting for them to come out with an Omnipotent with a Coyote Tan finish?
