Noz
I can't stand bourbons. Have done side by side sampling and IMHO, bourbons are only fit to use as cleaning solvents. My feelings exactly BUT investigate Basil Hayden. It might change your mind.
Linn Keller, SASS 27332, BOLD 103
Get thee to a bar for a sample; no accounting for individual tastes. Sound advice here! Works for new shooters starting cowboy action shooting, it's just as valid in selectin' your sippin' likker!
Linn Keller, SASS 27332, BOLD 103
I see a Crown Royal Rye in Christmas present displays. Is it any good? Remember I am an Irish drinker. My wife got a handful of empty Crown Royal cloth sacks at a yard sale. They seem to be favored as empty brass bags.

Lost Trail
I'll second Glenllivit real smooth scotch. Never could like Burbon it is too sweet for my taste. I once thought Glenlivit was smooth also. Then we went to the GlenDronach distillery and I gained a real appreciation for quality Scotch. Cask Strength is superb. GlenDronach is now my only birand. Red Gauntlet , SASS 60619
When it comes to Scotch, I still prefer old-style blended Scotch. To wit: Johnny Walker. Red is great. Black is sublime, from time to time.....

Tennessee Stud
You boys... arguin' over them rich-labeled deals. Â When I drank... and I... used to drink ever now and then... somewhat... (you can ask Ms. Ali Mo... hehehe).... Â Always drank my Uncle Elwood's No. 4... a sourmash utopian medicinal potion... and a genuine, double-rectified... pop-skull... aged in a plastic jug. Aged for over a month. Â Oh heck... wished I could drink some now... but that ain't in the cards. Â Also partial to Maker's Mark... sent to me by a fella SASS shooter from Wyoming... long ago, he sent me a case of it with my name on it, just before he died... Gunny Sackett. Never was sure why he sent it to me... but I got it after he passed. Â ts

Tecate Slam 99188
Noz,  If you like Irish then Red Breast is really good. If you want rye, try Old Protrero. If it is bourbon then give Clyde Mays at go.  I'm just say'n  Tecate
Amarillo Rattler
100% agree with all above. Â Then stumbled on Southshot while shopping for Buffalo Trace. Â $22 for a 1.75ltr bottle. Â WOW!!!! Â Amarillo Rattler
