Jefro passed away suddenly 2 days ago.  He was the match director for the Buccaneer Range Regulators in Wilmington, NC.  He was a dedicated Black Powder shooter and shot Frontier Cartridge Duelist.

Another Cowboy that will be missed.

Oh man...... this news took my breath away.

Jefro and I conversed a few times and I always enjoyed talking with him.   Great guy and a BIG credit to SASS.

Condolences to his family and close love ones.

God Bless, my friend.

Damn!  I've shot with that bunch and it's a great crew.  Jeffro helped me get into the game and I have a lot of respect for him.  Very sorry to hear of his passing, prayers to family and friends that they find peace.  He will be missed, for sure!

We shot with the Buccaneer Range Regulators several times when we were visiting relatives in Wilmington, NC.  Jefro was always there to help us and was a great pard.  He was definitely a cowboy that I would be proud to "ride the river with".  He will definitely be missed.  Our condolences to his family.

Jeffro held the Wilmington Areas SASS together...I always enjoyed setting up and shooting with him.  After the passing of two other Buccaneer Range Rider members, Charlie Horse and Skuzy; then Buccaneer gun club pretty much kicking us out of the range  (not anything we did-it was internal HOA type B.S. with new board members and a  tiny bit of power going to their heads), things kind of fell apart. No shoots for about a year.
Jeffro had found a new place to shoot and was trying to get the whole SASS scene here back in order...
He was always the head cat herder since I started shooting with him @ 7 years ago.
He had a good sense of humor, always willing to teach, help out a new comer and putting a set of guns in an onlookers hands to give a stage a try.

Prayers Up for all of his Family and Friends.  Only knew him from his posts on the wire, but he was certainly one to ride the river with.  I have no doubt he will be missed by one and all.
