Following Receipt of the latest Chronicle, and reading Capt. Baylor's article, I have been trying to order from "Pro Cast Bullets."  Appears their Web Site is KAPUT as I keep getting the dreaded "there is a Fatal Error with this site" message (for several days).  There is also no contact/ordering phone number and the site won't accept a "contact us" message.

Anybody had any luck with these folks??

I just logged on to www.procastbulletco.com – Procast Bullet Company with no problem after an internet search.

Also went straight to the same site by "clicking" on the link at the end of the CC article.

They have an age check mechanism as the entry point on the site - perhaps that chokes on your IP address, especially if you have a VPN running to disguise your IP..   Their web site seems not very polished and is incompletely built out - so they may need some time to spin up to commercial level service.

good luck, GJ

I had/have the same problem as Coffinmaker.  I can get to the site and even put bullets in a cart, but when I try to checkout I get an error.  It doesn't say you need to be registered, so I'm trying as a "guest" but I'm thinking it won't let you do that and you have to register and login.  Might try that later.

Honestly if it weren't for Capt. Baylor's recommendation I'd be thinking it a scam site.

No payment info, no phone number or address. Spaces between letters in a word, no spaces between some words.

Added.. there are now posts from the operator.

Sorry Lump lump.

Bear Creek not a "Suitable Substitute."  I am specifically interested in Pro's 97Gr Hollow Cavity.  Currently, no way to buy.  Like others, other than Capt. Baylor's piece, I'd suspect a scam.  Time will tell I suppose.  Right now, very flaky.

They certainly hit all the buttons for a scam site.

Yep.  Not a good site. I placed some item in shopping cart and then entered my zip code to see what the shipping charge was. Then when I tried to go back to shopping cart it wouldn’t come up.  I’m not trying again.

Maybe they set the Capt. up knowing he has followers!

You may also note that most of links just take you to the support email. I wouldn't trust them even with Mr. Baylor's nod.

Well I did register but still can't check out.  At one point I saw a place to enter credit card info, although I didn't enter it at that time.  Can't get to that point again but at least if they take credit cards that's a good sign.

I don't believe they are a "scam site." They had a booth at Range War last year (September).  They were a family run start up.  Have not heard anymore about them since the match.

Hello Everyone!

I'm Mike Prokurat, President of Procast Bullet Co.

First, yes, our website has been giving us a lot of trouble.  Our hosting servers were attacked this summer (by Russians believe it or not) and all of our settings thatt connect shipping and quickbooks have to be redone.  We discovered this over Christmas when we started our 'Get Loaded' give away.   It's been a nightmare getting the website working.

That being said, our main guy has just come back after paternal leave and I hope my website people should have everything running smootly very soon.

In the mean time, we're fully stocked and I am happy to take orders over the phone.  So, since we don't have a website, please email us at:

support@procastbulletco.com

Include your name and phone number and I'll give you a call for your payment info.

Thank you so much for your understanding.

That's just how our font came out.  It's actually correct grammar.

This is true, it's a new federal law.  I'm required to ask.

If no luck, give these forks a try.

Great CS, and has been a SASS supporter since I started this game.

Their moly-coated bullets are great with smokeless and BP.

Bear Creek are great bullets. I have been using their .38 cal 148 gr hollow base full wadcutter bullets for years for my Bulls Eye Target shooting.

Our main website issue that my IT team is working on is that the shipping costs are not populating to my accounting software.  They're working on it, I promise!

We're real, I promise!  The website is just down to repair an issue with the website populating shipping costs onto our accounting software.  Please email me at support@procastbulletco.com

Thank you for the order Bob!  We're almost fixed up.  I have a meeting with my web guys tomorrow, buttoning things back up.

Since I started this thread, And it is looking much much better, it is my intent to eMail Procas tomorrow and buy some bullets.  I also intend a small suggestion for an additional offering.  Our confidence is now HIGH!!

Thanks for jumping in her Mike.  I'll be talking to you directly.

I sent an email last night but did not hear back.  However, I just tried the website again and it took my order and payment, no problem, so I guess it's back up and running.  Good luck with the business, Kid.
