Unique powder

Does anyone know a reputable place to buy some Unique?  I am skeptical about some of the places on the internet. If anyone knows of a good deal out there please chime in.

Thanks

Steve

I did not Unique was so hard to find .:(

I usually buy mine at about any where  ,

But Dan's is one of my go to places .

https://www.dansammo.com/

I probably have 10 pounds of Unique .

As a back up I use Universal powder .

Unique and Universal are just about the same formula tit for tat.

I use the same load for everything so far .

You didn’t say where you are but Sportsman Warehouse and Cal Ranch have it from time to time.

I use a lot of unique. 45-70, 45-60, 38-55, 44 mag. My supply is getting low, down to about 8 lbs :(
I’ve been watching for it, not seeing much. I’ve heard it is used in howitzer shells, so a lot of it is being bought up by US govt for the war in Ukraine.

So many better (cheaper, available) alternatives....   But if you HAVE to have it (rather than just want it), make the rounds at all the on-line powder vendors once a week and then be willing to pay the hazmat duty.  GJ

Unique was the first smokeless powder available in the USA.

You can load every cartridge or SG round used in this game with it.

Just don't load it at 'fly-fart' level .....

The second choice is WW-231/HP38(same powder).

Just saw some at Bass Pro HQ Store here in Springfield MO last week.

Get ready for serious sticker shock:excl:

I still have about 12 lbs.

Stop using it on your steaks and it will last longer I am down to a 47 LB supply

Several years back we were going grocery shopping.  Got about two miles from Grafs and I mentioned Grafs had Unique on sale.  I didn't get out any details or finish my argument.  But Mary said, "You better get some." We stopped in and did just that.  We have lots of Unique,  Red Dot and TighGroup.

OP...since you are in Elk River...keep an eye on Ballistic Products. If they have some...you aren't very far from them

Bought some at the new Scheels store in Chandler ,AZ a couple of weeks ago.

I've been watching my local Sheels and while they have a wide variety of powders, no Unique. The local reloading shop who always has powder has also seen so Unique. Might be a regional distribution thing?
