Rip Snorter Posted January 16 Posted January 16 For stones! Had 3 windshields replaced in 10 years running on dirt and gravel. Bugs are a non issue! 3 Quote
Blackwater 53393 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Yeah! I know what it’s for! We use them for dirt tracking and off road racing., but when a big bug hits that screen, bug juice is like paint balls!! 4 Quote
Rip Snorter Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I can think of one bug issue, and that on a motorcycle. Beautiful day in rural southern Wisconsin (or just over the border) in Illinois. Having a good ride and suddenly hit a big cloud of tiny insects. Face shield opaque, front of my leather, jeans and boots sticky yellow like glue. No water - lucky to have sunglasses or I'd have had to ride with eyes at risk. Never found out what they were and never had it happen again. I did hit a rock, and never felt it, that just missed the face of a friend riding behind me. 2 Quote

You haven’t seen the like of “love bug” season in Florida or Cicadas in the Southeast in certain years!! I took two trips through a high school car wash in my leathers, on my old Harley one day after hitting a cloud of love bugs in Florida! I thought I would never get all that mess off of me or the bike!! 🤢🥴 3 2 1 Quote
