In '72, I worked at a Dairy Queen for $1.00 an hour.

When I graduated from high school, I got a 25% raise, to $1.25 an hour.

An hour's pay for lunch was a lot, even back then.

Even today for the price of a McDonalds meal you can go to a sit down restaurant or feed yourself 2 or more meals at home, they sell convenienceĀ
