My favorite memory of Bad Hand looked over at me when I was timing one day and very seriously said "Young man try to keep up" A man to ride the river with, and a friend who will be missed.

 

Raymond Chandler put it so well when defining a hero: "Down these mean streets a man must go, who is not himself mean, who is neither tarnished nor afraid".
