I do!  I have bought more than a few firearms and other items. It would be a shame to lose them!

I buy from local dealers only and of course private people.

And that’s your choice, good for you!  I have found that buying on the internet from dealers and sites like Gunbroker give me a lower price than the local dealers, as I go to get the transfers and check out their pricing. To each his own!

You're right your choice. I like supporting the local gun shops around here so they stay in business although some of them do sell on gunbroker as well.

Not sure if this issue is part of this Ammo Inc / Gunbroker problem, but for repeats I have had a Gun Broker account. I created the account when I lived near Sacramento. Since then I have moved 3 times. Oregon, SoCal (again) and West Virginia. I do not buy much at all off GB. Mostly grips and accessories and a little ammo. I have bid on numerous guns, but never won the bid on any of them.
Out of the blue 3 months ago they said my account was on hold because they couldn’t verify my address, even though I have bought accessories on their sight since moving here to WV.

They want photographs of me, me holding my license, my license and my residence. I told them “No!” And that’s that. Guess I’m done with them.

Could have been a scammer trying to get your information.

And I would too, but down here in SE FL, the shops charge more and uneducated buyers pay those prices and the shop owners don’t negotiate. If I found one that did I would give them my business. The other factor is that I have various interests, US military, some antiques, and of course “cowboy” besides self defense and hunting. Our stores are mainly Glock/AR-15 suppliers, not into Glocks and have a Colt AR15 for my wife and me, and an Armalite AR10.

I have used Gun Broker to buy a few times. I prefer to buy local if they have what I want and the price is reasonable.

Problem with where I live is that our gun shops are pretty limited and they cater mostly to the MSR and polymer gun crowd.

Sold a lot of firearm related stuff on GB. Get better exposure and price.

No place locally to sell unless you want to pay a 25% commission.

I’ve found that with shipping costs in most instances the locals are about the same. Even if they’re a little more I like giving them the money instead of shops in another state ! I guess I’m lucky there’s 6 shops within less than 30 miles and two of them are gun ranges so I’m exposed to a variety of firearms. One shop and range is 5 miles away and I used to work there part time.

No, that’s what ai thought at first, but it is legit. They emailed and told me that without that info all I will be able to do on their site is look. I can’t bids, post for sale or do price research.
That’s okay. Gives me an excuse to not be tempted.

I have bought two firearms in the past using Gunbroker.  Both were for SASS use.  The 1st a Ruger OMV 357 Lipseys special in 2012 to go with a OMV I already owned.   The 2nd was a Uberti 73 357 w/half octagonal barrel.  I couldn't find one locally or on Davidsons for a couple of years.  Eventually I found one on Gunbroker.  Thia was when new Uberti 73's were scarce.

All the shops around here are more black guns than anything else. I use GunBroker for what isn't available here. There is one shop that has quite a few guns I'd be interested in but the prices he asks is just stealing. I'll never go back.

Not a big fan of GB but they are so ubiquitous in the industry that I’d be surprised if something doesn’t purchase them and hopefully run it correctly.

I have used Gunbroker for years and never had a single problem. Currently bidding on more toys in fact. 😃

I think I have figured out the issue.
If you put my address into Google or Apple Maps for some really bizarre reason it navigated you to the parking lot of the closed Shop & Save grocery store near my house.
Perhaps they do random legitimacy checks and my address came up as “suspicious”.

They probably thought that you didn't put the cart into the parking lot cart corral at the Shop & Save.:P
