Catch and Release! California style.

But we, the lawfully armed public are the dangerous ones who MUST be controlled and prevented from obtaining firearms!!

Francisco Javier Palamino Alvarez... interesting - when I looked at the booking page this morning, he was listed - but no photo.  Gotta protect his privacy, I reckon.

When I checked a few minutes ago just to see if mebbe they might have relented and taked a mug shot - he ain't even there now.

Good Lord!  From the Santa Rosa Police Deparment's Facebook page, this is what they found in his truck:

          No photo description available.

A few questions popped to mine when I saw that picture.

Which pistol was going to shoot the 762 x 39 and which was going to shoot the 762 NATO?

Did the officers in question not know how to field strip the Glock?

I wonder who made that 1911 - Star or Llama?

It's a rare day that either SR Police or Sonoma County Sheriff don't have a press release about the arrest of a felon in possession of a firearm.

Honest question (if you know) how many of those previously convicted felons actually end up in jail for a real sentence (not some 30 day slap on the wrist) and then face federal penalties (including the so called “mandatory” five year enhanced sentence). If I were a betting man I would bet not many likely none.

I have no idea.   I suspect,  as you do, that not many get any significant prison time.
