Mississippi law at the time called for a life sentence for murder with possibility of parole. The judge sentenced him to consecutive life sentences. I think he is only eligible for parole on the first sentence at some future date (he will be 65), then he has to serve his second life sentence. And once paroled for that, then finally earn parole for the third life sentence some day in the distant future. Then there is the additional 140 years for the seven attempted murders. I suspect even with paroles, he will still rot in prison.
