"I used her, she used me and neither one cared."

I calls that a fine statement on equality. ;)

I'm quite a fan of his music.

"Like a Rock" (despite being co-opted for a commercial) is a favorite. I love the slide guitar work in it. If you like music videos, it has a good one.

"Turn the Page" is the song about the rock band on tour.

A true poet of our time.

Against the Wind, Like a Rock, Turn the Page, and Hollywood Nights.

Don't forget Horrizontal Bop, Betty Lou's Gettin' Out Tonight, Nine Tonight, and Strut!

Edit: AND Get Ouita' Denver

Bob Seger is my favorite singer. He puts on a great concert, I have seen him 3 times and would go again in a second!! My Favorite was Turn the Page until I heard Against the Wind in concert, now its my favorite song. Alto Reed's Sax will give you cold chills to.

I have a 250 CD changer out in the shop and he's on the playlist a few times every day. One of the greats.

In my opinion greatest opening verse in Rock n Roll history:

"I was a little too tall

Could've used a few pounds

Tight pants points hardly reknown

She was a black haired beauty with big dark eyes

And points all her own sitting way up high

Way up firm and high"

I think the worst thing he ever did was katmandu. It wasn't all that bad but it certainly wasn't his best effort.

Stood alone on a mountain top,
Starin' out at the great divide
I could go east, I could go west,
It was all up to me to decide
Just then I saw a young hawk flyin'
And my soul began to rise
And pretty soon
My heart was singin'

"Roll Me Away"

I wish I had a dime for every time these lyrics spoke to me. They're poetry in their own right, but set to music and sung by Mr. Seger, they're on another plain.

Someone from Detroit or maybe anywhere in Michigan can chime in, but in the late seventies there was at least one radio station near "D" that played exclusively Seger music. I drove a semi and delivered there and loved to listen to that station. I thought it was great he had that kind of support. Later I heard of a station in Philly that played Sinatra only.I didn't try to locate that station.
