Snakebite Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Let's see, how does this go..... at last weeks match we had a three legged shooter. At the beep the shooter pulls the first handgun and places 5 shots through the window. The shooter then pulls the second handgun and cocks it.... the T.O., the Spotters, and everyone else all yell..... "move to the door!". The shooter takes TWO steps to the door... but keeps one foot planted at the window. Whats the call? Snakebite

Doc Shapiro Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Well duh, no. There's no penalty. One foot was planted! However, wouldn't that 3rd leg count as an external modification?
Cypress Sun Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Come on folks, the obvious question is..........sure he has 3 legs, but did the shooter have 3 feet? One has to know to answer this objectively.
Fillmore Coffins, SASS #7884 Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Well duh, no. There's no penalty. One foot was planted! However, wouldn't that 3rd leg count as an external modification? 3rd Gen short stroke Fillmore

C0ckr0ach, SASS #26100 Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Procedure - Since one leg was still planted at the window, then the three legged shooter did not move to the door. Just took advantage of anatomy to stretch to shoot through the door. While physical anomalies impact a shooters ability and SASS must accommodate, the shooter must still conform to the Stage description. This is a serious question, as SASS expands into more rural or deeply entrenched urban areas - where there is much inbreeding - a three legged shooter could well be encountered. And with cloning errors - who knows what we will see. A more perplexing question is how will the RO Committee handle a three arm & handed shooter. Will a dualist be able to shoot a rifle and pistol at the same time ?
