Oh Yea.   Fond memories.

There were 5 of us kids and we hung close to Moma when she was in the kitchen making

some 'special' food........ like chocolate cake batter.

Three kids = 2 beaters & one spatula.  Everybody's happy.

And then there was the bowl.:)

Nowadays you’d get flamed for eating the raw eggs in the batter, but it’s a great childhood memory!

Our first granddaughter Gwyne, 2 years old1000008334.thumb.jpg.7bdeb173ccb8e3fb01571f88c3d8364c.jpg. Named after my mom who we cared for until she passed away in 2020 at home

:) What a sweetie pie.

I have a photo of my daughter around that same age working on a beater that had chocolate icing all over it.

When I was a kid there were 6 of us kids. My mom had a check off list for beaters and bowls. Our names were listed by age and she just went down the list. She considered a bowl the same as a beater when marking down the list. But, as @Zeb Gray, #36839mentioned, the bowl was often clean so therefore it dropped out of rotation.

My favorite was when she made homemade icing for a cake and the beaters with the cake batter had already been checked off and I was next for an icing beater.
