Figure it out from there. The Great Depression happened before REA brought power to rural areas. They dealt with zero power every day of their lives. We are not so lucky. You could buy a “key” where you slipped it over the end of the tube and rolled it up from the bottom. You could also use your toothbrush handle to flatten the tube on the counter.
