And here I was hoping I would have the ladies of SASS flocking north, just to get close to my hairless chest!!

Anyway, here's the Confederation Bridge that now links the Canadian mainland in New Brunswick to Prince Edward Island crossing the Northumberland Strait. It's about 13 Km long.

That's about 8 miles, for us Yanks.

My Wife would hate it.

But we love oysters from PEI!

I recall a mess dinner where raw fresh oysters were being served., flown in from Baddeck N.S.

I was told to squirt a little lemon juice on the opened fresh oyster; if it contracted/shriveled a bit, it was fresh and OK to eat. If it didn't react: Don't Eat It.

Also, drink soft drinks or beer- not liquor or you'll see them again, whole in a little hard, condensed ball.

I followed that Maritimes advice and was fine.

I heard some of the others, who didn't heed his advice, worshipping The Great White Goddess!

look at the bright side

the BEER stays cold

  CB 🤣

Growing up in the Northeast (Pa, Del, NJ), we had to bring the Coke bottles in from the garage, or they would freeze and break!  Too young for beer at the time.

Not now!!!!!!!!!!!!  :D

My Dad had a 100-year-old farm house (before the War) in the Poconos with a stream running beneath it. He and his friends would keep their beer in the flowing creek, and it always stayed cold.  :P

Man, I wonder how much that house would be worth today!  :(
