Well, the English had their civil war about 220 years before that.   I don't think that they were all that concerned with ours.

Shouldn't that be "Make sure you have turned the Stupid Light OFF."?

If Jason is around and the lights not on I’m not going in. That’s what the stupid college kid is for

If your Stupid Light is on that means that your Stupid is activated and running.

It could mean your Stupid is not working properly, like the dummy lights in a car, so that may be an advantage

Stupid Light On means you Stupid is activated and running.  Your Stupid Light will be flashing if your Stupid is not working properly.

The old style Dummy lights in a car would just stay on. The newer light will come on if it's something Bad, but if they're flashing it means something Really Bad.

So does that mean it’s stupid or really stupid :)

It's not stupid because it's computer controlled. The computer might be stupid, but that's a whole different story.

And if you keep driving with a flashing light, YOU'RE the stupid one. Like I said, Really Bad.

I worked in a disposable diaper factory before going to Veterinary College.  The diaper making machines were highly automated, with warning lights on the operator control panel to alert the operator when something was amiss.  Some folks worried that a warning light might burn out, which resulted in the installation of a warning light that came on when one of the other warning lights burned out.   The arguments in production management meetings about this decision wasted HOURS, literally.

If you have ever worked as a production supervisor, you will not be surprised.
