A song for all of us today.

Come To Jesus by Chris Rice

Weak and wounded sinner

Lost and left to die

O, raise your head for love is passing by

Come to Jesus

Come to Jesus

Come to Jesus and live

Now your burden's lifted

And carried far away

And precious blood has washed away the stain

So sing to Jesus

Sing to Jesus

Sing to Jesus and live

And like a new born baby

Don't be afraid to crawl

And remember when you walk sometimes we fall

So fall on Jesus

Fall on Jesus

Fall on Jesus and live

Sometimes the way is lonely

And steep and filled with pain

So if your sky is dark and pours the rain

Then cry to Jesus

Cry to Jesus

Cry to Jesus and live

Ohh, and when the love spills over

And music fills the night

And when you can't contain your joy inside

Then dance for Jesus

Dance for Jesus

Dance for Jesus and live

And with your final heartbeat

Kiss the world goodbye

Then go in peace, and laugh on glory's side

And fly to Jesus

Fly to Jesus

Fly to Jesus and live

Fly to Jesus

Fly to Jesus

Fly to Jesus and live

Spent several days in the hospital with a twisted small intestine...no food in...none out for a week. IV drugs and Dilauid for four days. Intestine relaxed and straightened out. Home now eating small meals trying to get over vomiting and diarrhea. Get my gut adjusted. Been in bed now for 3 weeks. My oncologist says we are in uncharted waters. They are recommending no more chemo for three months. They tell me I should start feeling stronger soon...that the further I get away from chemo the stronger I will get. In three months we will do PET scans and with luck the cancer will not have spread. No easy choices. I have decided on this course of action.

I am a year past my use by date....lol..and with my Sweeties help and the grace of God and the healing prayers of so many I am still here and making plans for my future. That is 15 months given to me by a healing and restoring God. Amen. Every week has been a challenge to varying degrees but one thing has been a constant. The Wire is always at my fingertips no matter how I feel. Love checking in and making plans for my next shoot. Reading and enjoying my pals on the Wire is a great joy.

I thank you all for your support..God bless you all...Jim

I am about a 6 on a daily pain level but that would be much less if I took more pain meds. Don't like them if I can handle it. I like to know how I really feel. Had an Army medic pal who used to say...Pain is good... pain is real...Hanging in and still laughing most days....Jim

Mule Shoe speaks truly.

There are!

I had to laugh when I read your "Use By Date" comment.

My baby sis had that same ornery sense of humor when she went through her difficulties.

Ain't no wonder you were so sick, with a twisted gut ... glad that's straightened out!

Yes, please, keep us Up Dated as you're able!

Been up and dressed and running some errands...Monday and Tuesday...spent 2 hours in physical therapy for lymphodemia in thighs and legs,Tuesday. Doing something proactive feels good.

Just getting up, dressed, and back in the pick-up running errands feels like success. Exhusted, Wednesday afternoon so back to bed to rest.

Thursday morning....cooked breakfast...and loaded up the Dobermans

to go to the Casita (farm) to run...they love to run... I am feeling stronger each day and looking forward to better days to come. Amen!

Again, I want to thank each and every one of you for the prayers that have carried me this far. God bless each and everyone of you....Jim

How often have we forgotten the miracles God has done in our lives?

We are all praying for a miracle for you Jim.

"We Will Remember" by Tommy Walker

Chorus 1

We will remember we will remember

We will remember the works of Your hands

We will stop and give You praise

For great is Thy faithfulness

(REPEAT)

Verse 1

You're our creator our life sustainer

Deliverer our comfort our joy

Throughout the ages You've been our shelter

Our peace in the midst of the storm

Verse 2

With signs and wonders You've shown Your power

With precious blood You showed us Your grace

You've been our helper our liberator

The giver of life with no end

Verse 3

When we walk through life's darkest valleys

We will look back at all You have done

And we will shout our God is good

And He is the faithful one

Misc 1

(BRIDGE)

Hallelujah hallelujah

To the one from whom all blessings flow

Hallelujah hallelujah

To the one whose glory has been shown

Verse 4

I still remember the day You saved me

The day I heard You call out my name

You said You loved me and would never leave me

And I've never been the same

Jim was on his horse today and went shooting.

Says he shot a clean match at Plum Creek and got a special pin.

(Per his other threads today)

Thank You Jesus.

From Jim on one of his threads today...

"...I am back in the saddle part of every day now.

Praise God and thanks for everyone's prayers that have extended my stay here.

I am grateful to all...Jim"

That calls for another song, doesn't it?

"The Anchor Holds" sung by Ray Boltz

I have journeyed through the long dark night,

Out on the open sea, by faith alone,

Sight unknown; and yet his eyes were watching me.

The anchor holds,

Though the ships been battered.

The anchor holds,

Though the sails are torn.

I have fallen on my knees as I face the raging seas.

The anchor holds in spite of the storm.

I've had visions, I've had dreams;

I've even held them in my hand.

But I never knew they would slip right through,

Like they were only grains of sand.

The anchor holds,

Though the ships been battered.

The anchor holds,

Though the sails are torn.

I have fallen on my knees as I face the raging seas.

The anchor holds in spite of the storm.

I have been young but I'm older now.

And there has been beauty these eyes have seen.

But it was in the night, through the storms of my life,

Oh, that's where God proved His love for me.

The anchor holds,

Though the ships been battered.

The anchor holds,

Though the sails are torn.

I have fallen on my knees as I face the raging seas.

The anchor holds in spite of the storm.

I have fallen on my knees as I face the raging seas.

The anchor holds in spite of the storm.

Del Rio...Went to Baylor and met with the Doctor...had several tests and he agree to look at my case. Going back on the 30th for a PET scan of my chest to see what that tells him. I am feeling better and keeping food down and just feeling better generally. Still have tremendous leg pain at times that require pain medications. I am very opmistic about all of this...will know something solid about this the first week of September...God bless you all....Thanks Jim
