Abilene Slim SASS 81783 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 My wife loves Brady & the Pats. I'd like to see Manning & Broncos win, but I wouldn't put my own money on it. My Cinderella team Chiefs went down yesterday. That's football. Green Bay lost too. Bummer. I've no interest in Cards & Panthers. Regardless, I want an AFC victory in Superbowl.
Yul Lose Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Otta be another great game. Two of the best QB's of our time playing for a trip to the last game of the year. Can't wait.
Henry T Harrison Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 You gotta hand it to the Steelers they gave it a hell of a try, a banged up QB, missing their all pro wide receiver and playing with a 4th string running back they stayed in the game
Yul Lose Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Had the Steelers not fumbled it would have been a different outcome, IMO, they were rolling.
Utah Bob #35998 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Had the Steelers not fumbled it would have been a different outcome, IMO, they were rolling.Agree. It was not a very good win for Denver. Numerous dropped passes by the receivers. Kubiak's insistance on up the gut runs with Hillman the miniback.I'm afraid if they don't step up their game the Pats will demolish them next week. And that would be a sad way for Peyton's carer to end.
Cyrus Cassidy #45437 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Don't forget the Broncos beat them in the regular season.

Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 And Brady and Manning are 2-2 in playoffs with the home team winning all four times.
Rancho Roy Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Isn't it amazing. Tom Brady was drafted by the Patriots in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL draft. In Brady's 13 full seasons as a starter (he missed nearly all of 2008 with a torn ACL), the Patriots have earned six trips to the Super Bowl, winning four. A nearly 50% chance that with Brady at the helm, you're going to the Super Bowl! This year, Brady is the ONLY player that has played in EVERY game. Every other starting player on the roster has been out a number of games due to injury. And they still win! Easily the greatest team and greatest QB in football history........
Noz Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Peyton again looked merely mortal in that game. Too many passes the were off target enough to be incomplete and too many that were off enough to be very hard to handle. I thought there was some very poor play calling from the sidelines. If the Broncos perform against the Pats as they did yesterday against the Steelers then they will be out of the playoffs.
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Well, the Seahawks took my dog out of the fight yesterday. So I guess I don't really care one way or the other about the AFC. The NFC is another matter. Arizona has come a long way and look tough. Panthers look tougher. Like the Cardinals, fear the Panthers. After the week end, I am picking Pats and Panthers in the Soup Bowl. Would be interesting to see Brady comes up against the young turk, Newton.

Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Well Backwater, that would be something different for the talking heads to blather about.
Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 CAN THEY BOTH PLEASE JUST LOSE?? So,,,, hmmm both AFC teams would default and the Cardinals and Panthers draw a bye into the Super Bowl??
Trailrider #896 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 A win is a win... However, the Broncos offense did NOT look very sharp yesterday. The Steelers stuffed the running game. If it weren't for the fumble recovery and the place kicker, they'd have lost! Hopefully, they'll do better in the next two games!

If the Broncos perform against the Pats as they did yesterday against the Steelers then they will be out of the playoffs. Peyton looked pretty good for being out for so long. And he is the first to admit he's mortal. Nobody gets to the Superbowl alone. Team effort is what will do it. And the team effort by the ponies yesterday was less than championship caliber. I have never liked Kubiak's philosophy and hope he is gone at the end of the season. He wants the team to adapt to his thinking rather than using the tools he has at hand. Putting Manning under center is just a really dumb idea inho.
