Max Montana, SASS #23907
If it's made by Winchester is it still a repro?
Dantankerous
Uh, in stock at Cimarron. Finally? I'll have to check. When I was down in at Texas Jack's over the summer I was told they had not had a 44 Special '66 in quite some time and were not expecting any in. H. K. Uriah, SASS #74619
If it is made BY Winchester in a factory in the USA, then it is not a reproduction. If it is made FOR Winchester under licence by another company in some other country but are allowed to stamp "Winchester" on the gun, it is still a reproduction. In my opinion. Winchester ceased to exist several years ago. The name "Winchester" is licensed. None of the lever action Winchesters currently on the market are made in the USA. They are made in Japan. Even the venerable old Model 94 is now made in Japan. Which is fine since Miroku makes superb firearms.
