Another Ferguson?

Maybe all the race baiters are too busy with Ferguson to have noticed. So far. Give the media a day or two to get things whipped up.

Actually this event is tragic. Seems to be an innocent kid, who wanted his toy gun to look real, as opposed to some punk thug.

Some 12 year olds are children and some are hard core criminals. When one is told to raise his hands and he pulls a pistol from his waistband, you don't have much time to decide which category he fits.

With only the information available to the responding officers, what would you have done?

Ok. A little test. Which one of these kids do you think won't kill you?

And if you took more than 1/2 a second to make your decision, your dead. Sorry.

Just thinking out loud but rioting, destroying property, stealing from businesses is most successful before the Police, the community and businesses can get prepared to defend themselves. This time around they are very well prepared.

My point is I fully expect a lot of shouting and loudmouths in Ferguson after the verdict but would expect violent activities to take place in other areas of St. Louis that are not prepared.

And maybe even other areas of the country. Hope the cold weather holds for awhile. Snow and rain would be nice to.

Kids, adults, black or white or brown should be taught to OBEY the police when confronted!!!! Its as darn simple as that!!!! If the boy raised his hands like he was told, this sad incident could have been avoided and the boy would be at home right now. The officers did what I think most LEOs would have done. Kids can kill you in a heartbeat!

Yep this is the parents fault. Failure to teach you child when to obey authority.

Easy to second guess the cops split second decision. Kid grabs for gun... Do you shoot first and kid dies or do you hesitate because it is a kid.

Two possible outcomes for option two.

1.) The gun was a fake and no one gets hurt

2.) Gun is real and the kid gets off a couple of shots hitting and posible killing one of the officers or another kid on the playground.

Can't imaging what the two offiers are going through emotionally.

according to a report I read a couple days ago, sharpton claimed that riots; er, excuse me, protests, have been planned in 25 cities across the country.

The same thing the LEO did!

That same thing happened here in Santa Rosa Ca Oct. of last year. 12 year old kid had an airsoft AK 47,

I hate to say it and I hate that it seems to be a part that the media exploits, but the outcome of the recent shooting of the 12 year old and how the media plays on it will depend upon whether the Officer is black or white.

just an opinion.

Well said Widowmaker, they have not released that info yet. That's the first thing I thought.

The officer only has a split second to react. David Crawford was a St. Pete (Fl) police officer who stopped this person (link below) on night after a call about a "suspicious person".

While the officer was reaching for a notepad, he took his eyes of Lindsey.........it cost him his life. Lindsey fired 5 rounds at close range.....all hit their mark. Lindsey was 16 at the time.

RIP Officer David Crawford
