  2. Ace Hardware in my area has a selection of "gun screws" in their bins that have yielded several saves for me.
  3. This would be a good question for the WB 38SPL shooters to answer
  4. OK you were correct, from page 15 in the wbshb Too bad the 9mm is 0.355 versus the 38SPL at 0.357, 9mm comes up 0.002 inches too small Rifle Calibers - Must be centerfire of at least .38 caliber and not larger than .45 caliber. - No rifle calibers are allowed. - Must be in a caliber commonly available. Examples include, but are not limited to, .357 Magnum, .38 Special, .38-40, .44-40, .44 Special, .44 Magnum, and .45 Colt.
  5. I seen some place that was dipping them in batter and deep frying them! We just called the locust when I was a kid.
  6. Wow what a young Frank Zappa and I’ve never seen him dressed so conservatively.
  7. Too bad you don't live around here. Because of so much livestock (sheep, goats, chickens, cows, etc), it's not against the law to shoot them on YOUR property. The feral and loose dogs kill lots of chickens, so they get zapped! We have 6 acres and have a few free range chickens. I shot one dog that kept returning and finally killed 6 of my wife's chickens. It belonged to a lady about 1/2 mile away. I talked to her several times about her dog and finally put an end to the problem. Our local Sheriff told her to keep the dog on her property or she would be liable for the damage done by her dog. We did not ask for anything because the problem was solved.
  8. Supposedly, this is the first time that both have surfaced at the same time since the early 1800s! The last time I remember them being this intense was about 20 years ago. They were so thick that you could watch the dead ones blowing around on the highways like black snow! Having ridden my motorcycle every day back then, I can tell you for a fact that they don’t taste good!!
  9. Very nice. My favorite is Toccata and Fugue in F-Major on pipe organ. Wood winds are light and pleasant. Pipe organ for pure horsepower.
  10. Go to Marauder’s website and look up Rusty Marlin’s pages on the exposed hammer Marlins. Very Informative and lots of details about how to ascertain if they are safe to shoot. I looked at my parts bin this morning and didn’t find any of those screws. I DID find what I think is a later model fore end slide that uses a matching nut/retainer. I don’t have wood for it, but you might be able to adapt your furniture to fit if you’re not real concerned with originality. Pics below… If you’re interested, send me a PM.

  14. Kinda my thoughts. I wouldn't have to think to hard to come up with something I'd rather have for $2K JHC
  15. Looks like guys "missed the mark"on this one too..............
  16. The first time I ever used one of these was with a Redding die . They work well for cast bullets The guy in the video does a good job explanation and has the part numbers. In the first video he explained that the part number is the same for the new and old part so he purchased from Lee to ensure not getting one of the old expander plugs
