Cousin Martha joined the Convent.   She said to tell you 'HI'.

She ask if you still run out of gas every time you drive down a country road

at night..... :o

Sometimes I "run out of gas", sometimes I get lost or see something scary on the passenger side of the car.

Atleast I don't cut a hole in the bottom of the popcorn bucket....anymore.

Oh...... so you're the one.

She sometimes mentions something about 'Little Man Popcorn' and nobody knew

what she meant.   Now we know.

EDIT:  'LMP' will become your new nickname for 'Little Man Popcorn'.

hehehehehehehe!

You may have lost cousin Martha, but remember you always got Ashia.  She is an

admirer of yours.

Yes.   Kadisha is the other.  I don't get to see her often since she joined

the Merchant Marines.

Krazy Kajun knows as much about her as anyone.   I think he and her

write each other.

Yet another TW story:

This past weekend, I was visiting TW and helping him inventory his gun collection.

I noticed inside one of his safes was a small bundle of money.... looked like $50's $100's.

AND, he also had 3 eggs sitting amongst his pistols.

I said..... "Jesse, looks like you got a few thousand bucks sitting here and 3 eggs.   What

are you doing with 3 eggs in your safe"?

NOTE:  Jesse is what TW's friends calll him, both of them.

Anyhow, TW says,,,,,, "since I got out of the military, every time I told a lie I would save an

egg and put it in my safe".

I replied...... "Gosh, 3 lies in 26 years ain't bad.

TW replied........ "Well, not actually.   Ya see, every time I get a dozen eggs, I sell them.

Thats where all that money came from".

Ya know, a feller just can't make this stuff up.

I was looking at the dates, just 'cause I wanted to shoot with this bunch of crazies. Unfortunately, just can't do it this year. Hoping for next year to at least shoot 3 matches of the Magnificent Seven.

The Molly's Buckles have been ordered for all the Categories we have so far. I can't get a picture of what the buckles will actually look like until they are mad but here is a picture of the buckle we started with.

Here's a computer proof that shows the design we are using.

It says 1st Place on the buckle, I'm betting this is 1st place, not state champ.

I'd happily accept the AQHA buckle for whatever position I finish in my category. No need to change the buckle on my account.

As of yesterday, 3/23/24, we have 149 signed up from 17 States in 40 Categories.

We still have plenty of room if you want to come and shoot with us. According to Widder it will be worth coming just the see the Speed ‘97 Shotgun Side Match.

May 30-June 1.

https://www.wartraceregulators.com/2024State/application.pdf

Hope to see there!

RANDY,

it won't just be the 97 speedsters, but Slater on his 87 is probably one of the best 87 shooters

you'll ever see.   He 'drops 2' down the action and slam fires that lever

open and closed before your favorite huntin dog can twitch its eyeball.

You are right Slater can really make that ‘87 sing!!  I expect we’ll have some mighty fast double shooters as well!!

Ole Chicken Catch-a-Torey is pretty fast.   But, he's getting old, like me.

And speed is a faint memory.   Slater is still young and more important, he's

pretty good with that 87.

On a side note (and TW don't like for me to talk about this), CC is having some eye

problems and really don't see very well anymore.   It all started last summer when

he tried to ambush a porcupine and the porcupine was in heat.

Needless to say where most of the quills were stuck.    AND..... needless to say

how much fun ole TW hisowndangself had removing those quills.  Its a never

ending saga.

If Hollywood ever wanted to do one of those weekly 'Real Life' shows with

never ending events, TW's place would be a hit show.

Randy,

a few years back (the last time RED KNEE visited Wartrace), I ran the 6 KD's in 4.24 seconds.

This year, I'm gonna bring a few boxes of AA Low Noise, Low Recoil shells and anyone

who breaks that match record will get a box (25 rounds) of shells from me.

I hope its an incentive for those capable to bring their 'A' game and wear it out.

Who's the Huckleberry?

Grudgingly,  I've lost a lot of speed.

But, when ya slack off for 4 years and get older, its gonna happen.

I'll still have fun and I might even help out a little and work the timer for some

shooters.

BUT..... you could be right in that SOMEONE might hit that 3.99.

And although Red Knee isn't planning to be there, he still has time to change

his mind and jump in line.

Remember, Red Knee was on the 3 man team of 1897 Cowboy shooters (along with

Missouri Traveler and myself) what beat the 3 man Wild Bunch shooters a few years back.

Us Cowboys loaded from the belt for about 25 KD's and the WB shooters stoked their 97's

for their 25 KD's.   It was close..... but the Cowboys whooped em.   :D

I could be wrong about the number of KD's, but it was between 22-25 if I remember

correctly.

They came and taped for a week last year. The producers thought viewers would think everything was fake and unbelievable. Especially with all of the Widder sightings. They said it was tantamount to a Bigfoot sighting. Heck, I've even got PROOF of all of my exploits and they STILL didn't believe them.

I showed them the scab I keep in a jar in the kitchen I pulled off my butt from when I was abducted by those aliens a couple years back.

I showed them the jar I keep the tick in I pulled off of Bigfoot back in the early 2000s.

I even showed them a real-life invisible ghost I keep in another jar, and they still didn't believe me.

I told them I seen Widder shoot not 6 but 10 knockdowns in 1.3 seconds. That, they believed!

Some folks just ain't got no sense!

I can verify the 'Bigfoot Tick'.

TW actually owns a nice piece of forest area (thick woods) in Middle TN with a couple

small caves.   On one of his 'Speedlunker' expeditions, he found some signs of

what most folks call 'Bigfoot'.     Soooooo, guess who he calls and recruits to help

'ambush' this strange creature on his property?   Yep..... ME, the sucker.

So, this creature walks out of its cave around sundown and TW jumps on its back.

All he could grab was fur.....and a tick what looked like a 'Vampire'.   That tick

sunk its fangs into ole TW's hand and he took to squealing like a little pig.

The creature ran over me like I wasn't even there.   For the record, the creature

wasn't real big or monstrous...... but more like a cross between a bear and a dog

We had to pry that tick outta TW's back hand, which he still has fang scars today.

He put it in a mason jar with hopes to train it to do tricks........ like:  sit, stand, rollover,

suck, etc.     So far, its learned how to sit and suck.

I'll share another SECRET with the Wire pards, just don't tell TW I told you so.

You can talk about his family, wife, truck and job..... but he don't like anyone

to talk about and make fun of his pet chickens.

You just can't make up stories like this....this here is true life folklore that will last longer than scabs...and you don't even have to store these truths in a a jar.
