H. K. Uriah, SASS #74619 Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Yesterday, I saw a very strange shotgun on some website. At first, it looks like a fairly convention side by side. But when you open the action, you see that there is some sort of a "magazine" where you can put two more shells in addition to the two in the barrels. But for the life of me, I can't remember where the heck I saw the picture! No idea who made/makes it, or anything else about it. Does this sound at all familiar to anyone?
Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933 Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 I have a hubcap. Can anyone tell me what make, year and model of car it fits?
Reverend P. Babcock Chase Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Howdy H.K., I have seen pictures of a similar shotgun, but I, too, could not say when (long ago), where or what it was called. But I'm here to back you up on this. Rev. Chase
Sedalia Dave Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Was it a modern gun or vintage? Did it look like this?

Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933 Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Looks like a Darne.
Blackwater 53393 Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 I expanded the pictures and read the description! NIIIIICE GUN!!
Reverend P. Babcock Chase Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Howdy Repeating SXS Fans, Leave it to the French. That is a Darne looking action alright and it's the one I remember (now). Rev. Chase
Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933 Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 I have handled Darne's and Charlin's but have never seen one with a separate magazine. There are several on Gunbroker right now.

But none have the magazine.

Big Sage, SASS #49891 Life Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 Many years ago I shot a Darne shotgun at the trap range. It was smooth as silk and the fit and finish was second to none. I really wanted one until I found out the price, way above what I could afford back then.
