Charlie Harley, #14153
I’ve been building furniture for 40+ years and never seen something like that. With context from a video you might have discovered a tool I need to add to my collection.

Eyesa Horg
Cool, but seems like a lot of work to avoid raising the blade and using a wrench. But that's just me.

But that's just me. It doesn't tighten the arbor nut. It starts it on the arbor, and spins it down to where it needs to be tightened with a standard wrench. Besides you could be the only one on your block to have one. Regards Gateway Kid
Charlie Harley, #14153
Cool idea! That widget just screams for a 3-D printer! If someone could make one at a reasonable cost I’d buy it after scraping my knuckles too many times.
Eyesa Horg
My saw is an old Rockwell and the shaft comes right up to the table. Other than forgetting on occasion that it's left hand thread, it hasn't been an issue. I do agree however that the gear gizmo is pretty cool and innovative. Colorado Coffinmaker
Freeking Brilliant. Also noticed he used the same gear train to run his twin screw End Vice. It was also meant to be a really FUN project.
