Buckshot Bear Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 Been ages since we'd watched Broken Trail, Robert Duvall never fails to impress as an actor. Sad ending really and my wife teared up.
DocWard Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 I don’t think I’ve had the chance to ever watch the entire thing in one sitting. I guess I’ll have to do that now
Big Sage, SASS #49891 Life Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 I really like Thomas Haden Church too. It was a great film.
Trigger Mike Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 I also enjoyed it. A little different than a lot of westerns.
Sixgun Sheridan Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 One of the few westerns to ever tackle the issue of Chinese girls sold into slavery and prostitution in the US. In fact it might be the only one.
Pat Riot Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 Weird. Somehow I missed this one. I will have to watch it soon. Thanks @Buckshot Bear

Dantankerous Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 A most excellent western. The Tom Harte character is a favorite of mine.

Phantom Falcon, SASS # 46139 Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 Great movie, as was "Open Range". PF
Rex M Rugers #6621 Posted October 22, 2021 Posted October 22, 2021 The novel by Alan Geoffrion is a good read , also. Side note: Near the end of the movie , when Tom shoots a bad guy with his 66 , did you notice it has no front sight. Of course , I immediately pointed this out to my wife , who was not amused. Or impressed. Rex
Buckshot Bear Posted October 22, 2021 Author Posted October 22, 2021 Very interesting to delve a little deeper and to read about how its loosely based on a true story.
