I couldn't show that bedspread to my wife....besides killing me she'd never sleep again, her snake phobia is that bad.

She can't even look at a snake in a movie of TV I have to tell her when she can open her eyes.

Same with Ellie She's been known to throw a newspaper across the room to get a picture away from her!

Years ago, a chance encounter led to a visit to a North Dakota Ostrich Ranch.  Amazing, with literal flocks of ostriches of various ages in fenced compounds.  When alarmed, they would run in flocks as you see birds fly in flocks.  Very dangerous birds.  To retrieve the eggs they had a mattress padded VW shell with chain link fencing in place of windows.  Two men would walk inside the car body, get over the nest and harvest the eggs through the floor boards.  It was apparently a profitable operation, selling eggs, meat, leather and feathers as well as young ostriches.  An unforgettable experience I hadn't thought of in years.  Wonder if it is still there.
