J.D. Daily Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 December 7th has a special meaning to me; so, I will never forget the terrible event that occurred in HI 30 years before. December 7th 1971 was the date I was discharged from the Army at Ft. Riley Kansas. I, my wife & 1 year old daughter couldn't wait to get home to the SF Bay area. There was a terrible winter storm that closed I-80 in Wyoming; so, we headed south into an ice storm that lasted until the elevation in New Mexico turned the freezing rain into snow. I hope that the country will never forget "Pearl Harbor".
