saw one in town today.   It was 1600.  I held it and the butt seemed squared and rubbed right on the pinched nerve in the web of my thumb.  I let it go back to the shelf.  It was pretty though.

Look at it this way. You just saved 1600 smackers. ;)

Give it a year the newness will wear off , hopefully the price will come down . It’s hard to pony that much up when you can get a S&W performance center gun for a few hundred less . But if you gotta have a Python ya gotta have it

Saw and handled a 4 inch recently...it was sold...it was very nice...it went from "want" to "need."

I have yet to see a new Python. Perhaps that’s a good thing. I got my sights set on 2 Ruger Redhawks.

Hmmm...for the $1600 they want for a Python I can possibly get both Rugers...now I just need $1600 for the Python to buy the Rugers. :P

A lot of money for a pretty $500 revolver.

I've handled three that were pre sold when they came in to the LGS.  Mine is pre paid for, and I'm waiting for delivery.  I chose a 4.25" one.

What is the recoil on the new python like?

If it's anything like my '93 Python it'll be very manageable. I shoot .357's and actually enjoy them!!

Well, no.  It don't.

I bought a Winchester rifle for $600, kept it two years, and sold it for $1250.  That money, and a little more paid for my Python.

“It’s an investment”, I always tell my wife. :)

I just try not to mention it at all . What she don’t know won’t hurt me , and if that doesn’t work out I can always go with it’s better to ask for forgiveness than permission

Interesting gun. I had to sell my 4" Python when I got married 30+ years ago to pay off some bills. Could this new one join the herd?
