Yul Lose Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 I placed an order with Taylor’s and Company for some parts I need for conversion cylinders and my Chase card was rejected by the bank. I talked with Taylor’s and they suggested I call the credit card company and I did. After a long wait on hold I was told that the purchase was firearms related and that was the reason for the refusal. I used the same card for Brownells and Midway USA with no issues, one of them just an hour ago but they won’t allow the Taylor’s purchase. Time for a new credit card.
Waxahachie Kid #17017 L Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 Yep....past time. I think I may have one... I'm going to call, and talk to them about this.... I want them to know why I am cancelling the card. Obviously another bonehead management decision, in a world of bonehead managers. Thanks for the update. W.K. .
Sixgun Sheridan Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 I use my Chase card to buy stuff on gun websites all the time. If they ever pull that crap on me they're getting an earful.
Cliff Hanger #3720LR Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 This brings up a thought. You tried to purchase a legal product but the bank card will not allow. My wondering is will that card allow the purchase of medical or recreational marijuana. If so, might be a good law suit.
Loophole LaRue, SASS #51438 Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 Chase has been gun unfriendly for some time. When I first found out, I called to let them know that I would be closing my accounts, and why. They practically laughed in my face. The arrogance of big banks is unmatched. I use small local banks now, where they know your name and are responsive to your concerns. LL
Crazy Gun Barney, SASS #2428 Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 Walked away from Chase years ago, their heavy handed "we are Chase" tactics were both uncalled for and unwelcome. I prefer to give my money to companies who appreciate it, and treat me like a customer.

They wouldn’t object to your purchase of pornography depicting the bondage, subjugation or humiliation of women either, but Beto O’Rourke and the vagina hat squad didn’t jump on the bank and credit card companies about that, so if that’s your thing.....
Big Sage, SASS #49891 Life Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 The only CC I have is a Credit 1, which took over the Cabelas accounts. Have a zero balance and don't use it much. Opp's I forgot my Chevron gas card. Got it 60years ago and don't use it much either.

PenFed just took over the NRA Visa card accounts. See PenFed.org.
