I Need To Tap Into Some Creative Ideas

Uno's birthday is coming up. The item he would like is something he will have to purchase himself, to ensure it is exactly the right thing. I would like to give him the funds to purchase his gift but I don't want to hand him a gift card or an envelope with cash. Any ideas on how I can creatively present him with the funds?

I assume you know where he's going to go to get this item?? If you do, then you can make arrangements with the store to tell him it's paid for!

Or load him in the car, drive him to the store as a surprise, and tell him you got it covered!

A clue hunt, each clue leads to the next clue where the last clue leads to someone in the store who is "in on it".

Great idea!!

I like the idea of a treasure map. At each "clue" he will find another dollar. Unfortunately, the two items he has told me he's really interested in, he is negotiating with persons for a private sale. I can't let someone in on the deal if I don't know who or where they are, hence the request for ideas.

Thanks and keep 'em coming.

A little box with the cash/gift card inside, neatly gift wrapped, inside a little bigger box, inside a little bigger box, and so on until you get tired of wrappin. Or, you run out of boxes.

Ya gots ta make 'um work for it.

Custom made gift certificate done on the computer? If you need help, holler.

Ruff beat me to it.

One year, long ago, my father and we three boys made a custom, hand-drawn gift certificate and gave it to Mama for Christmas.

The Sewing Machine of her choice.

None of us knew a thing about sewing machines, but we knew that she'd been grumbling that hers was old and worn out. So this was, "You find what you want, and we'll fetch it to the house".
