Where you live makes a difference

Recommended Posts

Where you live makes a difference. Thank goodness I live in Texas.

You may have heard on the news about a Southern California man who was

put under 72-hour psychiatric observation when it was found he owned 100

guns and allegedly had 100,000 rounds of ammunition stored in his home.

The house also featured a secret escape tunnel.

In Southern California standards, someone owning 100,000 rounds is

considered "mentally unstable."

In Michigan, he'd be called "The last white guy still living in Detroit."

In Arizona, he'd be called "an avid gun collector."

In Arkansas, he'd be called "a novice gun collector."

In Utah, he'd be called "moderately well prepared," but they'd probably

reserve judgment until they made sure that he had a corresponding

quantity of stored food."

In Kansas, he'd be "A guy down the road you would want to have for a friend."

In Montana, he'd be called "The neighborhood 'Go-To' guy."

In Idaho, he'd be called "a likely gubernatorial candidate."

In North Carolina, Virginia, W.Va., Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee,

Kentucky and South Carolina he would be called "a deer hunting buddy."

And in Texas: he'd just be "Bubba, who's a little short on ammo."

Sounds reasonable to me. I think you could add less urban parts of Ohio to "North Carolina, Virginia, W.Va., Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky and South Carolina."

In Minnesota, he be like the guy that the NSA, the CIA, the FBI and the local LEO's office , not to mention Fox News, have in their cross hairs as armed and extremely dangerous to all, even plant life.

They think they have a direct line to the Almighty to strike him down with one blow, but little do the know, that the Creator is a Rebel and has a CCW also ! ;)

In Texas, no issue. Most other places, no issue either.

Recently, I had to go to the hospital in an ambulance. The firefighters were discussing blackpower and reloading since my living room is a reloading room, cowboy clothes storage area, and has two large gun safes.

Either that, or his name is Leland Yee.

In upstate New York somebody with 100,000 rounds is called "that blankety-blank hoarder who bought up all the available ammo."

There's been a Cali gnus report where the guy had an "arsenal" of 10,000 rounds and 3 high power rifles. Like a 10/22.

Don't know about you, but 10k 22LR rounds is just a really fond memory of a good day at a gun show.

So glad I'm out of that nuthouse.

I don't talk about such things.

In some states, you are much better off to keep your own counsel.

Loose lips sink ships.

In some states.... More so.... Sad.
