Jeez, come on, ice AND snow!?!? Can't a guy get a break? Oh well, as long as we can keep the electricity going we should be ok for the week. If the electricity goes out... Marshal Chance Morgun
Yep, watching the news right now. Big blizzard warnings until Wednesday PM. Panic buying. Could be the biggest snow since the Winter of '79. Could be the end of life as we know it. According to the weatherman that is.

EE Taft
Ya know, I've driven since I was old enough to reach the pedals.......I've driven everything from tractors and heavy equipment to big trucks to dragsters............ But I've never been as scared as I was today coming home from St. Louis!!!! Heavy icing, several cars/trucks off in the ditch, and one guy in a Ford Ranger pulling a little enclosed trailer fishtailed and came within inches of nailing our Durango him at highway speed, and us at about 35. Guess he thought it would be fun to pass us goin' 70!! My fear of course due to the fact that my Wife, Boys, and Daughter were in the car with me. St. Louis weather this morning said no precip until late afternoon........... BOY WERE THEY WRONG!!!! By the grace of God, we made it!! Yup, we got the same weather people up here in Kansas City. Ice is starting build up a bit here which concerns me more than snow. Right now, I hope the snow starts sooner than later. Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
Around here, wind is not our friend. In the winter months we get lotsa rain which makes the soil soft, and the slightest breeze will bring down those 50 foot fir trees in a snap. Bear Saint Paw
Here in the DFW area they are predicting 1/10" to 1/4" of ice/sleet then 1-3" of snow for tomorrow morning starting around 6AM. We are under a winter weather warning from 3AM to 3PM tomorrow. I'll just be camped out in front of the TV in the morning watching all the people on the news that "Just had to go somewhere" slide all over the high 5 and other overpasses. EE Taft
We drove a hundred miles on a sheet of ice today (St. Louis back to Hannibal). The Weather man said 12-18 inches of snow, now the latest I've heard was 12-21 inches. First time in years we've been right on target for that kind of snow in NE Misery. I hope I'm snowed in...........Gotz food, water, and all I need to keep warm. I'll Just spend a few days at home workin' on things here. Watch, after all the hipe, we'll just get a dusting!! The ice can stay away though, I had enough of that today. ~EE Taft~

Grizzly Dave
Hawk, I can remember driving from KS back to CO on I-70 this one time, I got back on the highway even though the radio said it was closed, the gate was open so I went. I got up behind a truck and just stayed with him, if he'd have gone into the ditch I'd have followed right along. I assume we stayed on the highway but you couldn't see anything. Guess I've grown wiser, or maybe less brave, today I'd have grabbed a motel room and waited it out. Miz Grizz and I are being really thankful for shelter and heat today.
