  1. For sale or trade. Last summer, I was dropping garbage off at the dump when I spotted a PRACTICALLY NEW jogging cart for twins. I was like... So I brought it home and snuck it into the basement. I had it for weeks before Bea even knew it. I recently finished converting it into a "gun cart". It holds 6 long guns and 4 Single Action Revolvers. Rolls real smooth! I made the front box extra large to hold a small cooler with all your bullets and stuff. It is for sale (since I already had 3 carts). Price is $300, and can be delivered to the local North GA, Southern TN, or SC matches, or make trade or other Reasonable offer. I'm partial to Rugers, A Widdermatic Henry .22, could use a tuned Satin Nickle Stoeger, pretty open as long as it isn't a "hi-point", or Taurus, or Rossi. Trade value is $500.

  2. Once again a good guy with a gun stops a bad guy. Good Samaritan shoots, kills suspect beating wounded trooper on Ariz. highway

  3. The firing pin bushing seats solidly in the frame. It is not supposed to be dimensioned so that the retaining pin holds it out from its seat in the frame. If there is something wrong with the bushing seat in the frame it is not something you can fix. The retaining pin could be left out entirely and it should not affect how deep the bushing is sitting in the frame. If you don't know what you are doing returning the gun to Ruger would be the best course of action.

  7. We've got freezing rain right now. Very slippery out there. Took it really slow and easy going out to get the mail. Uno had to go to work today. I asked him if there was a chance they would come to their senses and close early. He said this company, senses???? I guess the answer is no. On the other hand, there is a hotel right around the corner from his store. Worst case, he could spend the night there and not risk driving home. We'll see what happens next.

  8. Head over to the Colt Forum. If you're already a member send a PM to "thecoltguy", he's probably one of the leading experts on pre-war DA Colts, particularly the Officers models, and I'm sure he'll be very helpful. If you're not a member, join and post the question in the revolver forum, and I'm sure that you'll get much good information, and "thecoltguy" will likely respond. There's no better place for finding information on Colts, one of the best forums on the net. Best regards,

  13. I bought a "used" Ruger Vaquero off GB last year. It showed up and appears to be totally unturned. No sign at all of a cylinder ring. So far I have kept it in the box. I almost hate to start shooting it as it is the only Ruger I have out of my pile of Rugers that is ringless.

  14. From the Shooters handbook version 21.8k Page #3 "Any firearm modification not referenced in this Handbook is prohibited." Page #4 "Replacement parts may be made from materials other than the original unless such material is specifically prohibited." I don't have the time to chase down the specific rule but before there was the Firearms Covenant lightweight materials like Titanium and such was not allowed. I don't think that has changed . As for who, I would never mention a name without the persons permission. I agree. But, lighter parts would be a bandaid too.

  15. Spent the day with him yesterday, mostly in the shop. He performed an amputation on my 16 gauge Swedish Hammer gun to make it into a coach gun that any stagecoach shotgun rider would be proud of. Gonna be my "fun-gun" with brass shotshells & black powder (naturally). Was a good off-season day! --Prairie (what's ridin' shotgun) Dawg

  16. Contact Trinity Scrimshaw at whitmirelm@gmail.com He does excellent work at a VERY reasonable price. Super nice cowboy who has made leather for myself and my kids. If you do any of the SASS goods Facebook pages his work is pictured.

  18. Short answer, you don't. It's all personal timing. Catching your hammer or jacking rounds out of a rifle are products of your perdonal timing being off.

  19. Indiana is a Shall Issue state. Unless you LOVE snow stay away from the northwest part of the state. Too much Lake Michigan snow effect for me.

  22. I dump 'em in a big Dillon primer flipper, pick up the ones that are the right way, then flip the tray over and get the rest of them. Maybe marginally faster than shaking the tray to get 'em all right the first time, maybe not.
