  2. "Somebody's poisoned the waterhole!" Woody.
  3. MY goodness. I last saw Mike about 2 years ago and he certainly had lost a lot of weight to the cancer but had a wonderful spirit. He will be missed.
  4. Thinking the same thing....Plus still have to pay sir tax.... Texas Lizard
  5. Don't think we can enter here in the land of background checks for ammo and no home delivery.
  6. A murder of crows, a flock of chickens, a herd of horses, and a cuddle of puppies. Thanks, Mom. I had forgotten that.
  7. Today
  8. It is rumored, that Japan was working on a device themselves and it was set off in what is now North Korea. The story is that the device was a "Fizzle" possibly due to Tritium contamination of the core. If the suspected site could site could be visited and samples taken, it is claimed the question could be resolved. Kinda makes me shiver.
  9. I use a close ADI equivalent - 2205. Much better for longer range than TB. In rifle I just use TB for my 45/70 trapdoor for the Pat Garret shoots where its close range (50-75M) and the rounds have to be under 1000FPS.
  10. Now that there are enough serious answers. Trail Boss!
  11. Says it’s top tier name brand ammo. It doesn’t say in what country.
  12. The rigidity of Shot Shell reloading comes primarily from 2 needs. One is the crimp. To get good performance you need a good crimp. The second and arguably most important item is that that the pressure margin for shotguns is significantly less than other firearms. In Cartridge guns you get visual warning of overpressure loads. In shotguns the first sign of a load that is too hot is usually catastrophic mechanical failure.
  13. Sent u another pm!
  14. It is a .38 Special Uberti 1866 that does not like shorter ammo. At 1.550 it is reliable 100% of the time.
  15. Copenhagen messaged me about this. I’m interested in the 550. Let me know how much with shipping unless you are going to the NW Regional Championship in Jerome ID next month.
  16. It's always nice if you don't have to ship a gun. Boomstick is great but a little further away. Nate Kiowa Jones isn't in East Texas, when he moved to Lampasas area (I think between Lampasas and Burnet) that's more like central Texas. And it is not a far drive from San Antone. But Nate was having health problems a while back and I haven't heard whether he's back at it or not. Easy enough to call and find out. @Newt Ritter is near San Antonio, he's not a 'smith but knows his way around '97's. He may see this and respond.
  17. sights, grips, hammer spurs, and many other things are specifically allowed to be modified, and they say that anything not mentioned is not allowed. Yeah, kinda crazy. Fortunately for the Colt style guns, the backstrap covers that mod.
  18. Dad was hypoglycemic. He always kept a vial of honey in his pocket. Tommy, one of is very obviously young. Around here, Sourwood has very little color of all.
  19. You're 80? You don't look a day over 70! Happy Birthday!
  20. We wouldn't have either, but we only had two bombs ready to go. Had Japan waited much longer to surrender, there'd be at the very least a third city added to the list of nuked cities.
