  1. Never thought of trying that! See u guys are too smart!
  2. I think I’ll order the .45 cal collet for mine as give it a go!
  3. I don’t have to pull often but I hate messing with the o-ring collets on my kinetic Hornady hammer.
  4. That’s a great deal!
  5. I picked up a bunch of XX-fired original AA hulls from an estate. Anyone still reloading them? Is there anything I should do differently when reloading them? Are they more/less desirable than the HS hulls?
  6. Curious to know if anyone is successfully using anything other than a Kinetic or Hammer type bullet puller for pulling lead bullets in Pistol Calibers? Hornady says their collet style is for Rifle calibers only. RCBS only says not to use theirs for rimfire. And FA’s wall mounted puller specifies up to .338 caliber ruffle but then on the Q&A page it is affirmed that it will work for Pistol calibers.
  7. Cerrosafe is the easiest solution. Then purchase a broken extractor tool from shotgun Boogie https://sbgwllc.com/shop/broken-brass-extractor-357-38/
  8. True. I’ve had both, but Boogie’s hammers have a slightly longer spur than both making Boogie’s easier to cock
  9. I’ve had two sets of 5.5” SS NMV’s short-stroked and made faster than I’ll ever be! One set are std NMV’s (38/357) and the other are matched SASS 45 Colt’s that come from the factory with Montado hammers. Shotgun Boogie did the 38/357 using his proprietary custom hammers and BOOMSTICK Jay did my SASS 45 Colts using the stock Montado hammers that they came with. both sets are buttery smooth and with two exceptions, were I blindfolded I couldn’t tell the difference! So this post ain’t about whose job is better. Rather the two differences. Boomstick Jay is within driving distance so I saved $125 in S&H alone and using my stock Montados vs purchasing Boogie’s hammers made Boomstick’s price less than Boogie’s so there was an economic reason that is beyond either craftsman’s control. That was my choice! The second difference is that the actual length and design of the spur on Boogie’s hammer is slightly longer and the grooves more aggressive vs the Montado’s which makes cocking Boogie’s easier and faster with a better thumb grip! While a small difference, for me, even with my large hands it is significant when shooting one-handed! (note, I have very large hands and have installed Eagle Ext. gunfighter grips on both sets of NMV’s which I absolutely love!) I didn’t know, or even think about there being a difference other than I knew I wanted lowered hammers and an action job on my new 45’s. Now you know! 🤠
  10. you mean this stuff????? 🤠🤠🤠. Think I’ll start with Magnum primers and then try W231.
  11. Are they brand new or once-fired?
  12. Not sure it matters at the close ranges we shoot, but once I settle on the load I will use most, I’ll take my file with me to the range.
  13. another happy owner here too!
  14. For about $20, some imagination and some Velcro and AA batteries you can make five…
  15. went back to the range again today.. first two groups of five at 20 yards Four groups of five at 15 yards… they definitely shoot low so at this distance, I’ve got lots of my front gold On-Target sight blade visible.
