  2. I shoot Classic Cowboy but at a couple independent clubs I have a couple palm leaf hats. One has the vented patterned crown. I think my 4x Resistol felt in Silverbelly is just as cool as those.
  3. Yeah, sometimes our old hands around here forget how hard NOW it is to get some of the powders they recommend! For a powder that will work in .45 Colt light loads, and is available, TiteGroup is hard to beat. Other than the fact it smokes up (lays down soot) cases a little more than most powders, especially the .45 Colt case which is very thick walled and rarely seals up the chamber really well with light cowboy type loads. good luck, GJ
  4. For those recommending powder for shotguns, remember the OP is requesting load data for 20-gauge. Shotgun powders used for 12-gauge may lack load data for 20-gauge.
  5. I've loaded a ton of 12 gauge shotshells with WST. It was originally designed as a shotgun powder, replacing Win 452AA powder about 1985 or so. So, it will make great light 12 gauge loads if that is what you were able to find on the shelf. Although it is just about perfect as well in .45 auto loads. good luck, GJ Yes, loading shotshells is a WHOLE lot different than loading cartridges. Especially when you start using plastic hulls with a folded crimp. Which most folks eventually go to due to faster reloading on a shotshell press and much cheaper cost for the hulls (almost free if you hunt down hulls at a shotgun range). GJ
  6. Oh that pretty, another nice roller! That would be fun to play with! Carbinecasey
  7. No it doesn’t, it’s definitely harder to open when trying to eject a shell though.
  8. Today
  9. 990 pcs(by weight) of Nickel .38 spec - $80 shipped to you.
  10. The afternoon shooting is for second category shooters. You could shoot Gunfighter in the morning and duelist in the afternoon. I believe there is a slight additional fee. Of course if you are shooting a second category why would you shoot anything but Outlaw? Not sure if there are enough shooters signed up for an afternoon posse. Check with Cat or Joe
  11. I'm guessing an uncleaned oil drum?? At least he wore face protection. Makes me think of Forsyth's Dogs of War. They were smuggling the machine guns into the country. So they took oil drums and turned them upside down and cut the bottoms out, leaving inch and a half 2 inch lip all the way around. They wrapped the machine guns in plastic and set them inside the oil drum. Then they have a piece of sheet steel cutting a circle that perfectly fits the bottom. They put it on the lip, and then solder it into place. Then they turn the drums right side up and fill them up with oil through the bunghole. I don't believe I would like to be the guy with the soldering torch.
  12. Not shooting in flights. The 2:00 start time is for the group of shooters that are shooting 2 categories. They shoot their second category after lunch each day. Main match is only one flight each day.

  14. Not legal for SASS but it is legal for Wild Bunch.
  15. Wait, am I missing something? Who said anything about altering the rules?
  16. Is the IAC 93/97 now legal for CAS? It was not several years ago. I have SHBs going back several years and they don’t contain specific language about the 93/97.
  17. So long as you can pin it down...
  18. Yep. Looks like the wearer rear ended a pheasant during a NASCAR race.
  19. Save the WST for pistol loads. It’s great in 45 ACP.
  20. Looking at the schedule Blackwater posted on page 3 of this thread, are we shooting in flights each day (am & pm) for the main match? If so, wouldnt the pm shooters miss the Hillbilly olympics & ice cream social? Asking for a friend. 😉 Roper
  21. I have bought 4 vehicles from Carmax and am expecting to buy the next from them. I have never bought on-line and will never again go to a local dealership. Long, sad story there. aint happening. Imis
