Boomers are those born ‘46 to ‘64. You don’t qualify.

Then Joe spread his blanket to far when he said "WE're called boomers.  I can forgive him.  After all, he's still just a kid.

Quote

The generation before the baby boomers was the Silent Generation, which includes people born between 1928 and 1945. The Silent Generation is also known as the Traditionalist Generation.

Explanation
  • The term "Silent Generation" was first used in a 1951 Time magazine article. The article described the generation as "still, small flame" in comparison to the "Flaming Youth" of their parents.

  • The Silent Generation is known for being conformist and civic. They were children of the Great Depression and World War II.

  • The Silent Generation is sometimes called the "Lucky Few" because they were well positioned to take advantage of economic opportunities.

  • The Silent Generation is characterized by:

    • Teamwork

    • Sacrifice

    • Respect for authority

    • Following directions
    • Patriotism

Generations are at least 15 years . Gen X fits in the analog and digital which are my sons, 1968 and 1970. They remember both.

lets see - i grew up as a boomer , those born to the greatest generation , i first heard and lived with that nomenclature of the silent majority , because we let our politians run roughshod over our wishes and rights , also the "news" media of those times started thinking they were above reporting the favcts and decided they were god and we should all listen to them as gospel ,

truth is i was always a thinking person - i dont believe it just because they said it or printed it - contrary to popular belief , i believed the american public was not stupid sheep following everything they said and swallowing it all , I WAS WRONG HERE ,

so yes im a boomer , i remember all the BS , i no longer trust our press to give us facts without opinion , if any other gen - millenial , X Y Z whatever thinks they are special they can forget that , they are what they make themselves and im not holding my breath so far , AND I DO NOT CARE WHAT THEY CALL THE NEXT ONE ,

show some backbone pave the way for a better world and ill think about recognizing you as special , those before me did and we did , so far everything since has not offered much to society from my perspective ,

make a list - prove me wrong .................please
