60’s and 70’s Rock

Yul Lose

Recommended Posts

I’m in the nostalgic mood out in the shop and have been listening to music of my teens, Steppenwolf, CCR,  3 Dog Night and a few others. I’m downloading albums from Apple Music on to my iPad and need some more ideas, help me out. I’ve got most of the country stuff from back then but would like more rock from that era. Thanks for your help.

I used to have a boss in Sheridan, Wyoming  that called this music Dope Smokin Music and forbade me from listening to it in the company delivery van. Little did he know that I’d change the station whenever I was out on deliveries and change it back when I returned. Thanks for all of the suggestions, I’d forgot about most of this music.

I might be out there all of the time now, it beats most of the stuff my wife watches on TV.

You betchem!  Lazy Afternoon, Rainy Tuesday, The Dream, Tuesday Afternoon....
I think one of the most underappreciated groups of that era.  And if you ask 100 people to name one of their songs, 98.5 will only be able to name "Nights in White Satin."

I can’t believe that in all of this, nobody has mentioned the greatest female rock band of all time!

HEART!!

HEART!!

I heard they were kind of off beat.  I have a ridiculous collection of records (Even my kids call them vinyl!) from the '60's, but I guess I don't have a Heart.

Don't forget Dear Diary. I don't know why but that's one of my favorites by the Moody Blues.

Ann Wilson was, and may still be, one of the best female vocalists of all time. Nancy Wilson (her sister) is one of the most accomplished female guitarists of all time. Together, they both form Heart. If you've never heard them, you're missing out on gem of a band.

Nothing “offbeat” about them. Fabulous, powerful vocals, one of the best guitarists anywhere, and a list of hits that rivals all the great acts of the period, right up until today!!
