Chickadees are at the feeder.

I was so busy I didn’t get the chance to celebrate Rohatsu. I barely even had time to meditate. I also failed to wish my friends here a Happy Rohatsu, so let me remedy that. A belated Happy Rohatsu, or Bodhi Day, everyone.

My favorite bird. Feed them on my knee at the cabin. No fear at all. Turkeys used to not be afraid. They're tasty, so now they run.

Yep, but like deer, the turkeys seem to know when it's eating them season:lol:

We've gone from zero to seven degrees and it's almost the heat of the day!

Yes, for easy reference, I'm using Wallaby Jack's CENTI(bloody)GRADE!

And no, I am NOT going to mow the yard!

(God help me, I've become a grouchy old curmudgeon!)

Think we have strayed a bit from the thread topic.

So anyway, I had a nice drive in my muscle car today to just check out a local gun store. Anyone else do so randomly?

Wasn't a random visit but yes, yes I did.

Just which muscle is your car anyway?

Definitely the gun shop. I only spend about $2,000 per year on fuel for all three vehicles.

But the cost of propane went up!

No bus, old pickup truck or retired police cruiser mostly. A year of driving for me is about 12,000 miles. I don't live in Texas or Australia.

Propane heat, lights and stove in my cabin. Wish I was there right now.

You’ve admitted to being a Grumpy Old Fart and I suspect that you’re in possession of firearms!!

You’re guaranteed immediate admission into GOFWG!!   B)

HOWEVER!! You may want to reconsider your decision on lawncare!! <_<

I have eight. All full except for a partial on the grill. Think I'll grill up a venison loin later.

Education taxes are my biggest expense and told to expect them to go up another 18% next year. This years increase was $3,500:angry:. That'll be over 1K a month.

When mine went up I wrote a letter asking why. Said I wouldn't send my kids to their schools that couldn't train a dog to beg.

I said to the board that I have noticed they can't even tell time or write their name, let alone count change at a register. They looked at me like I was just being grumpy, which I am! We have a ratio of 1 administration to 4 students and the teachers being more concerned with gender change are up to 100K:blink:. Maybe if I had kids I'd think differently, but we have no kids and sick of supporting everyone else's! When I bought my property the total taxes were $350 for the land, added a house and by 2006 I was up to 8K, now above 14K! It's ridiculous.
